Anna Odine Stroem takes unofficial Norwegian ladies title
In conjunction with the national championships in ski jumping on the HS 75 hill in Trysil, the Norwegian Ski Federation has also held the first-ever „unofficial“ Norwegian Championships in Ladies Nordic Combined as eight of the participants also took part in an ensuing cross-country race.
The win went to Anna Odine Stroem who had a good lead after the ski jumping and managed to maintain a small 6-second advantage over Tonje Bakke in the end. True to her reputation as a fast cross-country skier, Hanna Midtsundstad set the fastest time of 09:42 for the 4-kilometre race and improved a seventh rank after jumping into a final third rank.
The other participants were Silje Opseth, Anniken Mork, Gyda Westvold Hansen, Karoline Bjerke Skatvedt and Thea Oihaugen.
Norges Cup Coordinator Per Tommy Enger was very happy with the new competition for the ladies: „We hope that this can be a good start for the girls and that this competition can become a fixture each year. Maybe we might see the first official Norwegian championships in Nordic Combined for these girls already next year.“
