Austrian team for Ramsau am Dachstein
The last World Cup for the year 2015 is upon us and today, the Austrian Ski Federation announced their local heroes for the weekend.
Starting in Ramsau will be:
The team has been in Ramsau since Tuesday and had some additional jumping sessions to get ready for their home game. Two of the Austrian athletes are especially motivated for the weekend: Lukas Klapfer who has just had a podium result in Lillehammer and Bernhard Gruber who narrowly missed out on one with two fourth ranks.
Klapfer: „A home World Cup is always something special. I know many of the spectators and this gives you a lot of motivation. I am bringing a lot of self confidence back after my third place in Lillehammer but I have to be careful not to be over-motivated. I had bad experience with that in the past.“ He continued to praise the local organisers: „What they achieved here in this weather situation is great, the hill and tracks are in very good condition. The forecast says it’s going to be very warm on the weekend but I like this. I had my only fastest cross-country time on the track here, so I hope this is a good omen.“
