Today, the Austrian Harald Lemmerer, followed up his Continental Cup victory from last week in Høydalsmo with a new victory in Örnsköldsvik. Alessandro Pittin from Italy ranked second and Michael Duenkel from Germany completed the podium as third. "I am very happy! This was an important victory for me since my goal is to qualify for our World Cup team", Harald Lemmerer said after the competition.

The jumping part of the event was carried out in good conditions. Sindre Ure Søtvik, from Norway managed to show the longest jump, hitting 98 meters, closely followed by his fellow countryman Audun Hokholt reaching a distance of 97,5.

The cross-country race ended up being very dramatic. Unusually even results in the ski-jumping competition and a very slow cross-country race, created a group of 17 skiers, among which all had the chance to win the competition when only one kilometre of the race was left. Harald Lemmerer started the cross-country race 1:28 minutes after the leader Sindre Ure Soetvik. After having performed a strong race, Lemmerer could pass the other competitors and be the first one to cross the finish line. The fastest cross-country race, however, was delivered by Paul Gerstgraser from Austria with the time 25.45.7.

Alessandro Pittin did not look too happy after the competition, despite his second place.
"I am not satisfied with my competition today. I came here to win. But I have been sick for some days now and therefore I couldn’t perform as well as I wanted", Alessandro Pittin said after the race.

Michael Dünker, however was smiling:" I am very happy about my success. My goal is to compete in the World Cup next year and maybe even at the Olympic Games, but it will be hard because we have a strong team.
