Saturday’s jumping event on Oberstdorf’s HS 95 jumping hill had Dünkel starting from the fourth position in the race, having to make up 42 seconds on jumping winner Simon Hüttel who showed 100.5 metres. In the senior category, however, it was Dünkel who secured his first victory with the fastest cross-country time of 20:53.2 for the 10 kilometres which put him a comfortable 28.2 seconds ahead of Hanf at the finish line. 40.8 seconds later, Tom Lubitz finished to take the third place.
