Kjelbotn wins first PCR of the season

The first PCR / Qualification winner of the season 2012/13 is called Thomas Kjelbotn. In very wet condititons, the Norwegian landed a jump of 99 metres (134.3 points) which would give him an 8 second advance on runner-up Francois Braud from France, should the PCR have to be taken into account. The Frenchman achieved 132.4 points and a six-second advance on his teammate Jason Lamy Chappuis.

 

Old hand and jumping specialist Haavard Klemetsen (NOR) even voluntarily decreased his the numbers of startgates from 17 to 15 and still jumped 99 metres which helped him to 129.2 points and rank 10. Prominent victims of the qualification were Johannes Rydzek from Germany who came in as 56th as well as both Junior World Champions Oeystein Granbu Lien and Mattia Runggaldier.
