No big surprises in the Norwegian national team for the upcoming Olympic season:

Magnus Moan, Haavard Klemetsen, Joergen Graabak, Mikko Kokslien, Jan Schmid and Magnus Krog will be going on the hunt for top results and medals in the winter of 2013/14.

"We had phenomenal results at the start of the season but the direction of the curve started to point in the wrong direction after the new year. This winter, we have to have our peak at the Olympic games in Sochi. We will also try to be among the best in the World Cup but the most important thing will be to fight for the medals at the Olympics", Sports Director Sverre Rotevatn says.

In early April, the team came together for an evaluation meeting in Kautokeino and was unanimous in the wish for more joint training session and an even clearer framework around the training. The same coaching staff will continue the work with the athletes but in an even more stringent manner, Rotevatn summed up the results of the meeting. In addition to that, the goal list for the next winter has also been changed to to include winning the Nations Cup as well as a special way of creating more team spirit.

In the next months, the team will intensify working with the equipment and a bigger focus will also be put on having continuity in the jumping training. "We would also go cross-country skiing on snow between May and November as we have done in the past years." The next set date will be a training camp for the national team in Lillehammer from May 5-9 where the athletes will have several cross-country sessions, depending on how fast the snow melts, of course.
