In the 5 km cross-country sprint, Orter showed his balance between the disciplines, setting the second fastest time with 10:58.1 and overtaking Reisenauer and Steindl who ended eighth and sixth in the standings. The fastest time was set by Paul Gerstgrasser with 10:50.2 who stormed from an intermediate 31st rank to ninth place.
In the overall, Terence Weber keeps his lead, his points account now totaling at 557 points. Fabian Steindl is second (430 p.) and Orter third (406 p.). The next competitions are 8-9 February in Kranj (SLO).
