The Team Sprint in Falun - who is starting?
The Team Sprint is the last Nordic Combined competition in Falun and with only two athletes per team, of course everybody is talking about which athletes will represent their countries and fight for the last medals of 2015.
The title defenders from France will bring a lot of precious metals to the start already as the two team members Jason Lamy Chappuis and Francois Braud will already taken home one bronze, one silver and a team bronze from Falun.
Tough competition will come from Team Germany with Overall World Cup leader Eric Frenzel and Johannes Rydzek who has taken a medal in each event in Falun so far. Norwegians Haavard Klemetsen and Magnus Moan will be gunning to make up for a championships not according to Norwegian wishes so far. Austria is sending newly-minted World Champion Bernhard Gruber to the hill and tracks, accompanied by youngster and his "partner in crime" from the Team Sprint in Val di Fiemme, Sepp Schneider.
Japan and the USA will send two brother duos out to fight for the medals: Akito and Yoshito Watabe are forming one team as well as brothers Bryan and Taylor Fletcher. A compact duo of good jumper Samuel Costa and extremely fast skier Alessandro Pittin will fight in the Italian colours. The other teams are: Ruslan Balanda and Viktor Pasichnyk for the Ukraine, Kail Piho and Kristjan Ilves for Estonia, Marjan Jelenko and Gasper Berlot for Slovenia and Jim Härtull and Ilkka Herola for Finland.
The ski jumping competition round starts at 10:00 CET tomorrow morning and the last set of medals will be given away in the 2x 7.5 kilometre cross-country race at 16:00 tomorrow afternoon.
