Tim Hug sprains knee, sidelined for Summer Grand Prix
This hill inauguration did not go as planned for Swiss Nordic Combined ahtlete Tim Hug. The 29-year-old sprained his left knee crashing during the opening competition of the new hills in Kandersteg and is in the middle of the recovery process.
Unfortunately, this means his knee will still need rest and careful rehab when the Summer Grand Prix 2016 is on schedule in Oberwiesenthal, Villach and Oberstdorf.
„It is a pity but at least it’s not worse than this and there is sufficient time to get in shape again until the season starts“, Hug writes on his facebook page. „I am staying optimistic and will focus on my exams at university for now.“
