  • One of the largest and most popular resorts in Finland, Ruka has been a featured stop on the FIS Freestyle World Cup circuit since 2002, hosting moguls, dual moguls, halfpipe, and aerials events, as well as the 2005 Freestyle World Ski Championships.

The peak of Ruka sits 492 meters above sea level, and the mountain boasts a vertical drop of 201m, continuous trails up to 1300m in length, and a ski season that regularly surpasses 200 days in length. There are 34 groomed runs at the resort, 27 of which are illuminated to compensate for the short winter days of Lapland.

Ruka will once again host the first moguls competition of the season for 2017/18, with the Mercedes Benz FIS Freestyle World Cup Opening set to take to the resort's famous "Battery Run" on December 9, 2017.
