Alex Insam and Elena Runggaldier win Italian championships
Alex Insam and Elena Runggaldier were the best in the Italian national championships in Predazzo on Saturday.
17-year-old Alex Insam, who scored his first points in the FIS Grand Prix this September as 18th in Almaty, took a clear win on the normal hill with 100 m and 95 m and a total of 242.5 points.
The second place went to Roberto Dellasega with jumps on 94 m and 95.5 m and 228.0 points. Sebastian Colloredo, who won the title on this hill last year, came in third this time with 96.5 m and 95.5 m (225.5 points). Davide Bresadola (97.5 m and 91 m) finished fourth, two points behind Colloredo.
Elena Runggaldier won the ladies' competition with 90 m and 93 m and 212.0 points. Last year's winner Evelyn Insam was second with 91 m and 92.5 m (210.5 points, Lara Malsiner landed on the third place with 90 m and 86 m (190.5 points).
