Hoelzl laid the foundation for this success already in the first round with a jump on 90.5 m. 88.5 m in the second round were the enough for the Austrian, who is currently fifth in the overall World Cup, to take a clear win.

"I was hoping for a podium result here because i was jumping very well recently. I'm very happy now, because the World Junior Championships were a big goal for me", said the new World Champion. Katharina Althaus was also satisfied with her performances. "I wanted to make two good jumps here. I didn't aim for a certain place on the podium." Defending champion Sofia Tikhonova expected to be on the podium again, but she was not sure she would make it. "I was afraid that it will be very difficult", told the Russian.
