The 2015/16 season of the Continental Cup ended on Sunday with the second competition in Chaikovsky. The final win this winter went to Karl Geiger of Germany.
The 23-year-old from Oberstdorf, who was already on the podium on Saturday in second, showed jumps on 132.5 m and 128 m and took his third win this season with 262.7 points.
The second place went to Markus Schiffner. The Austrian was only 13th after the first round with 124.5 m, in the final he then posted a jump on 137 m and moved up to second with 260.5 points.
The best after the first round was Germany's Martin Hamann with the longest jump of the day on 146 m. Although the 18-year-old was not able to defend this leading position with his second jump on 124.5 m and 252.8 points, he could still celebrate his first podium finish in the Continental Cup in third.
Tom Hilde, the only representative of the Norwegian team in Russia, moved up from 12th to fourth in the final round and missed the podium by only 0.3 points. Cene Prevc of Slovenia finished fifth this time after this third place on Saturday, the sixth place went to Tomas Vancura of the Czech Republic.
With Marinus Kraus in seventh and the winner of Saturday's competition, Markus Eisenbichler, in eighth, a total of four German jumpers came in among the best in this season's final event.
The Top 10 were completed by Ernest Prislic of Slovenia and Austria's Clemens Aigner.
