Bad news for Daniela Iraschko-Stolz: The silver medalist of the Olympics in Sochi sustained a meniscul tear during training in Seefeld on Monday. This means that this season is already over for the Austrian.

"I don't know why this happened. I had a really good jump. It was far, but the landing was good. But still I suddenly felt pain and I already knew that something was wrong again. Fortunately the ACL is okay an the break won't be too long this time", said the 30-year-old.

Daniela Iraschko-Stolz, currently third in the overall World Cup, underwent surgery and will now be sidelined for about six weeks. "It is jinxed, that I'm injured again now that it's going so well. On the other hand I have the silver medal and this puts me in a positive mood. But with the Holmenkollen and Planica there would be some cool events coming up now and of course it hurts if you can't compete there."
