Good news for ski jumping in Turkey. In the future, the young athletes of head coach Pekka Niemelae will be able to train in Erzurum again.

The hills, on which the Junior World Championships 2011 and the Universiade 2012 took place, were completely destroyed by a landslike last summer.

The Turkish government has now decided to invest over 10 million Euro in order rebuild the ski jumping center at the very same place again. "They are working day and night", said Pekka Niemelae.

And the Finnish coach of the Turkish team had another success to report recently. 21-year-old Samet Karta finished second, behind Olli Muotka, in a competition of the Veikkaus Cup in Finland and came in ahead of athletes like Sebastian Klinga (3rd), Harri Olli (5th) and Sami Niemi (8th).
