Iraschko-Stolz best in training
Daniela Iraschko-Stolz showed, with 97,5 metres, the best jump in the official training at the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup Ladies in Almaty. The Austrian was with, 92,5 metres, already the best athlete in the first round. Overall World Cup winner Sarah Takanashi had to be satisfied with 91,0 metres in the first round and 97,0 metres in the second round. Nita Englund showed a strong performance. The US-American jumped to place three with 87,5 metres. France´s Julia Clair jumped to 93,0 metres. Jaqueline Seifriedsberger from Austria could show a jump to 91,5 metres and was another athlete who jumped over 90 metres. The Slovene Maja Vtic, who was on the podium for three times in a row, did not find her connection to the Kazakh hill until now. Due to the fact, that only 36 athletes are competing, there will be no qualification on Friday.
The first individual competition starts on Saturday 10 am (CET). Meanwhile it was made public, that the competition scheduled in Rasnov (ROU) next weekend, can not take place. A possible alternative will be named on Monday.
