Kenneth Gangnes proved his currently strong shape also at the Norwegian national championships on Tuesday and took the title and the "Kings Cup" in Lillehammer.

The 26-year-old won the competition on the large hill with two jumps on 131.5 m and 272.0 points.

After 123.5 m Johann Andre Forfang was fourth after the first half of the competition, but with the longest jump of the day on 133 m in the final he moved up to second with 260.8 points.

Also Andreas Stjernen took his spot on the podium with his second jump. He jumped on 121 m and 124.5 m and finished third with 238.5 points, already clearly behind Gangnes and Forfang.

Fredrik Bjerkeengen could not defend his second place after the first round and came in fourth, followed by Halvor Egner Garnered, Espen Roee and world record holder Anders Fannemel.

It was a disappointing competition on the Lysgardsbakken for World Champion Rune Velta and Tom Hilde, they finished only 14th and 17th.

Daniel Andre Tande was third after the first round, but, like Joachim Hauer, he was disqualified in the final round.
