Piotr Zyla wins Polish Nationals

Piotr Zyla won the Polish Championships on the normal hill on Saturday evening in Szczyrk.

The 27-year-old from Wisla, who was the best Pole in the overall ranking of this summer's FIS Grand Prix, took the title with jumps on 106 m and 105 m and a total of 276.0 points. The second place went to double Olympic Champion Kamil Stoch with 106 m and 103.5 m (271.0 points). Already clearly behind the two top athletes, Bartlomiej Klusek finished third with 102.5 m and 104 m (247.0 points).

Magdalena Palasz dominated the ladies' competition on the HS 77 and won with 70.5 m and 71 m and 219.8 points. Joanna Szwab came in second with 184.8 points (62.5 m and 61.5 m), followed by Kinga Rajda with 174.5 points (59.5 m and 60.5 m).

The national Championships on the large hill took place in July in Wisla. Kamil Stoch won this competition ahead of Piotr Zyla and Jakub Wolny.
