Three training rounds were held at the ladies' World Cup in Hinzenbach (AUT) on Friday. Because there are only 47 participants, a qualification was not necessary.

Newly crowned Junior World Champion Sara Takanashi of Japan and local hero Daniela Iraschko-Stolz showed the longest jumps of the first round with 90 m and 90.5 m. Kaori Iwabuchi jumped on 85.5 m and so also the third place went to an athlete of the strong Japanese team.

With 84.5 m Sara Takanashi also posted the longest jump in the second round. This time she was followed by her teammate Yuki Ito (83 m) and Julia Kykkaenen of Finland (82.5 m).

Ursa Bogataj was then the best in the third and final round on Friday afternoon with her jump on 89 m. Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (84 m) was second and Maja Vtic (86 m) was third. Just like Iraschko-Stolz, Sara Takanashi started with a shorter inrun and jumped on 81 m.

The first competition in Hinzenbach will take place on Saturday at 2:15 pm CET.
