The Swiss Ski Association (Swiss-Ski) announced its Ski Jumping teams for the upcoming 2017/18 season on Tuesday.

No Swiss athlete made it to the national team this years, not even four-time Olympic champion Simon Ammann. The 35-year-old was the best Swiss in last winter's overall World Cup in 29th and achieved his best World Cup results with an 11th and 14th place in Sapporo. For the first time since he won his first two Olympic gold medals in 2002 the veteran did not earn the highest team level in Switzerland.

Berni Schoedler, head of Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined, and the coaching staff named three jumpers to their A-team. Besides Simon Ammann, these are Gregor Deschwanden and Kilian Peier.

Tobias Birchler, Luca Egloff, Gabriel Karlen and Andreas Schuler are on the Swiss B-team. The C-team consists of Sandro Hauswirth and Dominik Peter.
