Olympic PGS Bronze medallist Benjamin Karl has successfully participated in the 2014 edition of the Race around Austria, a long distance event designed as 24h race.

The Austrian raceboarder competed in the team of 4 category alongside Christoph Suman (biathlon), former ski jumper Andreas Goldberger as well as extreme skier Axel Naglich.

Team Red Bull finished in fourth place missing the podium by the tiny mere of some four minutes; after a total of 2,200 kilometres and 30,000 metres of altitude.

Karl and his allies mastered the whole course which led along the boundaries of Upper Austria in two days, 19 hours and 6 minutes; a time which equals an average speed of 32.13 km/h.
