Italian raceboarder Maurizio Bormolini has celebrated back-to-back wins at the Europa Cup stop in Kayseri, Turkey where two parallel slalom races have been staged last weekend.

About ten days prior to his 21st birthday the Livigno resident who had won the season's EC opener in his home town two weeks ago added his career's third and fourth to his belt.

Looking on a perfect streak this winter, Bormolini, who had beaten Johann Stefaner (AUT) in the Saturday event and Jure Hafner (SLO) in yesterday's big final comfortably leads the parallel Europa Cup ranking with the maximum of 2,000 points opening the door wide to his first ever complete World Cup season.

So far, Bormolini has had 9 starts on the World Cup tour but the EC title would earn him his personal spot next year and therefore plenty more starts on the worldwide contest series.

On the women's side of things, Daniela Ulbing (AUT) celebrated her career's first EC win relegating teammate Ina Meschik and Germany's Melanie Hochreiter to second and third in the parallel giant slalom.

Yvonne Schuetz (SUI) had won the parallel slalom the day before ahead of Michelle Dekker (NED) and Elisa Profanter (ITA) – a result which makes the race for the ladies' title a close won.

The first three riders of the ranking, Schuetz (1,155), Profanter (1,125) and Langenhorst (GER, 1,120) are only separated by 35 points.
