Finishing in second position in today's Europa Cup parallel slalom staged in Rogla, Slovenia behind of local hero Gloria Kotnik, Daniela Ulbing (AUT) has taken over the lead in the Parallel EC ranking which is equivalent to a personalised spot on the 2016 World Cup tour.

The young Austrian now sits atop the ranking with 2,350 with Yvonne Schuetz of Switzerland who missed the finals today as 34th in second (2,156).

On the men's side of things, Benjamin Karl (AUT) took home the win ahead of Masaki Shiba (JPN) while Europa Cup leader Maurizio Bormolini (ITA, 3,145) sat out the races on the Java slope.

However, with only two more parallel slaloms to come in Ratschings, Italy this weekend, the Italian racer looks good to defend his lead with only Dario Caviziel (SUI, 2,665), today's fifth, being within reach.
