The last weekend brought some raceboard action to Scuol where the Swiss alpine team held its 2016 nationalss

In the parallel giant slalom event, reigning Olympic champion Patrizia Kummer was able to defend her title earning her second consecutive pgs gold by beating Ladina Jenny in the women's final.

In the men's event, David Mueller was the only Swiss racer to survive the quarter finals of the open competition to claim his first career title.

“It was a great feeling when I realised that I was the last Swiss standing and therefore the national champion,” he said.

On Sunday, the championships weekend wrapped up with the parallel slalom races and wins for Jenny and Nevin Galmarini.

Snatching her career's first national title ahead of Julie Zogg and Stefanie Mueller, Ladina Jenny topped her breakthrough season which included two World Cup podium finishes with a big win:

“It's great to finish the season off like this,” she stated.

Local hero Galmarini who was also working hard behind the scenes to bring the championships to his home town region edged off Dario Caviezel to the second rank in the men's final run with Silvan Flepp bringing home the bronze.

“I'm supper happy that I was able to win in front of my friends and family, and that I was able to give something back to the Loca Organisers,” explained the 2014 Olympic silver medallist.
