Selina Joerg and Radoslav Yankov have claimed victory in today's Europa Cup parallel giant slalom in Hochfuegen, Austria which attracted a strong and deep field of a lot of World Cup racers.

The German racer from Sonthofen came out successfully of a tight ladies' final edging off defending Overall Alpine Snowboard World Cup champion Julie Zogg (SUI) to the runner-up position while Ina Meschik (AUT) rounded out the podium as third.

Russia's Ekaterina Tudegesheva had to settle for fourth.

In the men's event, Bulgarian carving specialist Yankov beat Andreas Prommegger with 2014 Olympic silver medallist Nevin Galmarini placing third and Dmitry Sarsembaev fourth.

Tomorrow will bring the second pgs of the double event weekend in Austria which will also count as German Nationals.
