The German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) is supporting Olympic Silver and Bronze medallist Amelie Kober with a scholarship for the Sports Business Academy by WHU (SPOAC) which should ease up the transition from a career as a pro snowboarder into the occupational life.

The grant which was advertised beginning of June addressed active and former athletes as well as young professionals from DOSB member federations.

Interested parties had to submit a curriculum vitae, school reports as well as a short essay on one of three future relevant sport business topics.

In the end, it was Amelie Kober who stood out of the applicant masses: „I'm very happy to get the chance to study at the Sports Business Academy, and I'm very confident that I will learn a lot which will help me for my future occupational life,“ said Kober who is still fighting for a comeback.

The scholarship is awarded within the partnership of DOSB and the SPONSORS Verlags GmbH and authorises to participate in the one-year 'General Management Program' which offers nine different modules from September 2016 on.
