Natalia Soboleva and Vladislav Shkurikhin have tied on to the good results of Russian snowboarders at the past major events by winning today's parallel slalom at the 19th FIS Snowboard Junior World Championships in Yabuli, China.

After being dominating the Sochi Olympics and also playing a major role at the 2015 world championships, athletes from the strong Russian squad also kept the momentum at the third ever junior worlds in Asia.

Soboleva celebrated her third title after gold in the psl and pgs last year beating Korean Hae-Rim Jeong in the ladies' final of the parallel slalom which was staged today instead of the originally scheduled parallel giant slalom event.

Her teammate Elizaveta Salikhova rounded out the podium as third crossing the finish line ahead of Daniela Ulbing from Austria in the small final.

On the men's side of things, Shkurikhin came out successful of an all-Russian duel with Valery Kolegov, who added his second silver to his impressive collection dominated by three more gold medals to his belt.

Sang-Ho Lee (KOR) came out successfully of the race for third agains Dario Caviezel (SUI).
