German raceboarder Isabella Laboeck has been forced to an early season end after an injury suffered in the World Cup race at Sudelfeld, Germany, last weekend turned out worth than expected at first.

The 28-year-old from Prien broke her right ankle bone and also tore her ankle ligament when she slipped away at a frontside turn taking some hits while sliding down.

The 2013 parallel giant slalom world champion has already underwent a successful surgery.

“It's sad and very disappointing for me”, she said.

Especially as she has to take a rest for the next six weeks before being able to kick off rehab.
