The first two events of the US Snowboarding Race to Cup series have been held in Echo Mountain, CO after windy weather conditions had forced Local Organisers to postpone the first parallel race by one day.

But after the storm calmed down over night, two parallel slaloms of the new Nor-Am Cup series finally took place – with some very good results for the Swiss squad.

The team's three-week training trip to Colorado wrapped up with a win and a runner-up finish each for 2015 Overall Alpine Snowboard World Cup title winner Julie Zogg and 2014 Olympic PGS silver medallist Nevin Galmarini.

Zogg said on her facebook profile: “I can build on my good results and know that I can keep up at the top. I'm looking forward to the World Cup opener in three weeks.”

Her teammate Ladina Jenny topped the good Swiss results off by rounded out the podium as third once.

The other two wins went to reigning PSL world champion Ester Ledecka (CZE) and Masaki Shiba (JPN).

Ekaterina Tudegesheva (RUS) snatched a second and third rank finish while AJ Muss (USA) earned the sole podium finish for a rider from North America placing third and second once while Sylvain Dufour (FRA) took also one bronze.

Full results should be uploaded here soon.
