Team veterans Desmares and Dufour French PGS Champs
Nathalie Desmares and Sylvain Dufour have clinched the national PGS title last weekend in Val Thorens.
Both rider, however, capitalised on the time they had clocked in during the two-run qualifiers. As the weather conditions changed rapidly over the course of the day, Local Organisers were forced to cancel the competition after the time trials.
“The wind got to strong,” said Luc Faye. “So we had to take the qualification results as official ones.”
According to the jury decision, Dufour, the sole raceboarder of the French team at the last Olympic Winter Games, claimed his fourth consecutive title ahead of Vincent Thierry and Laurent Chaix.
Desmares took the title ahead of Manon Kleine and Clémentine Barre. Junior Worlds runner-up Emilie Aurange finished in fourth position.
