A touch of World Cup – Italian squad trains in Carezza
Visitors of the ski resort of Carezza can currently get a first glimpse on the up-coming World Cup action as the Italian National Team is training in perfect conditions on the Pra di Tori slope for the 2017-18 season's first race of the Alpine Snowboard World Cup tour.
Until next Friday, South Tyroleans and local favourites Nadya Ochner, Aaron March, Christoph Mick, Edwin Coratti and Roland Fischnaller as well as their teammates Mirko Felicetti and Maurizio Bormolini are practising for the big show in eight days together with up-and-coming athletes Daniele Bagozza, Marc Hofer, Giulia Gaspari, Elisa Caffont, Vivien Santifaller and Alice Lombardi.
The World Cup Opener is scheduled for December 14 and will feature the biggest entry list the Italian resort has seen so far.
Besides the deep roster of the hosting nation teams from 22 other countries have already registered including some exotic birds who are also aiming to qualify for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang.
