Representatives of the first ever combined FIS Freestyle Ski & Snowboard World Championships at Kreischberg, Austria, 2015 have met some media as well as other sport celebrities at this years meeting of the Austrian sport journalists in Bad Ischl.

Organising Committee member Karl Fussi was accompanied by snowboard medal hopes Marion Kreiner and Mathias Weissenbacher, ski crossers Andrea Limbacher and Katrin Ofner as well as freestyle skier Luca Tribondeau.

We are all set and on course,” Fussi said. “We had some very good rehearsals last winter with a ski cross World Cup event as well as a snowboard slopestyle World Cup. In the next couple of months we will promote our event as much as we can.”

From January 15 thru 25, 2015, a total of 23 medal decisions are on the programme.

Athletes are also looking forward to the World Championships on home turf.

I'm living close to Kreischberg and learned to ski on its slopes. I cannot wait for the worlds,” explained Katrin Ofner.

Competing on home soil and in front of a home crowd is a huge motivation for me,” added Marion Kreiner, who will aim for medals in the parallel slalom and parallel giant slalom races which will take place in the Lachtal resort nearby.
