  • Known around the Black Forest and beyond as "the birthplace of German skiing", Feldberg - with its impressive panoramas, extensive terrain, and deep ski history - is one of the most well-renowned resorts in Deutschland.

Located just over an hour away from Zurich and boasting 28 lifts, plenty of slopeside amenities, and excellent finish-area viewing, Feldberg has all the facets one would like to see in a SBX World Cup venue. All of which helped make Feldberg a perfect candidate to filling up a blank spot in 2016 by hosting the first snowboard cross World Cup races on German soil since Berchtesgaden back in 2003 and 2004.

As if that wasn't enough, Local Organisers of the well-known Black Forrest resort also wrote history after a lack of snow forced them to cut down the originally planned course to a sprint track - it was the first time ever, racers competed in this short course format.

However, in 2018, Race Organisers aim for a bit longer distance like in 2017 again with a total of two races slated to take place on the Seebuck Feldberg from February 2 till 4 - therefore being the last form check before riders head over to Asia to compete in the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games.

With the start being stationed some 150 metres below the top of the Zeigler lift, the finish placed next to the parking lot and all topped with a massive video wall, spectators won't miss any of the action like last year.

Especially as the entry to the action packed SBX weekend is free.
