With the season finally hitting the home stretch, Rafaella Brutto (ITA) and Hanno Douschan (AUT) have underlined their upturning form curve coming out successful of both snowboard cross races staged at the Europa Cup double event in Puy St. Vincent, France.

In the first race, the Italian racer edged off Yulia Lapteva (RUS) and Muriel Jost (SUI) to the respective second and third rank while she won the second sbx ahead of 2016 YOG winner Manon Petit and Gaia Tarasco (both FRA).

In the men's event, Douschan celebrated a perfect comeback from the concussion he had suffered during a trainig run for Sunny Valley World Cup four weeks ago.

In the first race, the rider from Carinthian crossed the finish line Tommaso Leoni (ITA) and Kalle Koblet (SUI) while he triumphed the day after ahead of his teammate Julian Lueftner and Koblet.

"Last week, I wasn't sure if I should start in France. Now, I'm happy that I did so as I was able to win against a strong competition twice. Now I want to tie on to this next weekend at the World Cup finals in Spain after I was forced to sit out four races due to injury," said Douschan.
