With the first snowboard cross race of the World Cup tour scheduled for Squaw Valley, USA beginning of March, the most European countries are taking advantage of the Europa Cup series to gain some race experience and to stay in shape.

As a result, last weekend brought the EC sbx events #4 and #5 which were packed with quite a lot of World Cup experienced racers from Italy, France, Switzerland and Austria.

However, it was the hosting nation's riders who ruled the event.

While Charlotte Bankes (FRA) won both races on the women's side of things, Olympic Champion Pierre Vaultier (FRA) clinched the second competitions after Italian Emanuel Perathoner had edged him off to the second rank in the first event.
