Karen Iwadare and Shinya Momono have won the snowboard cross nationals of the Japanese team which were staged in Yubari last weekend.

While Iwadare brought home her career's first in front of Kaori Itsukaichi and Maria Tomida, Momono clipped his fourth to his belt.

The 22-year-old from Naganuma Hokkaido relegated Daisuke Watanabe and Yoshiki Takahara to the second and third rank respectively.
