Nice course testing in Lake Louise
Some of the world's best have tested the snowboard cross course built by two-time Olympian shaper Jeff Ihaksi yesterday.
Although the 1,100 metres long track seemed to be a bit slow due to the strong snow fall in Lake Louise, Alberta, riders, coaches and staffing were pleased with the result.
FIS Race Director Uwe Beier said: “The support by Local Organisers is amazing. It seems they have only waited for the snowboard cross to come.”
Only some minor fine tuning to the features has to be done.
As the forecast for the next days looks promising with dropping temperatures and less snow, everything should be set for the official training today.
