Up-and-coming talent Paul Berg has been chosen by his national federation for the 'Athlete of the Year 2014' award.

The 23-year old from Konstanz was honoured for his strong performance in his second complete year on the World Cup tour in which he not only qualified for his first Olympics where he placed 13th but also won the Team SBX event in Montafon alongside teammate Konstantin Schad and the SBX season's finals in La Molina, Spain which made him the third German ever to win a SBX World Cup event.

In addition, he finished off the season as runner-up of the SBX World Cup Ranking.

“Paul mixed up the international elite in his second year on tour an is the best proof how talent and strong support by our top coaching staff end up in good results,” lauded Snowboard Germany president Prof. Michael Hölz.
