Zoe Gillings-Brier is expecting her first baby in a couple of weeks and will therefore miss the up-coming winter season. However, she wants to compete at the PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games.

The three-time Olympian is currently training according to her pregnancy to be able to “come back better than ever and ready for the qualification period for PyeongChang.”

The 31-year-old with so far seven World Cup podium finishes under her belt of which one was a win (Valle Nevado, Chile, 2004) also explained in an interview with worldsnowboardguide.com that she had to modify her workouts to make them baby-safe by limiting heavy weights and impact.

“I’ve managed to get the balance just right, but I don’t think I could have stopped completely.”
