Since October is normally the month were the most teams get into the real on-snow mode in their preparation for the next season, Germany's snowboard cross squad has travelled a bit to the South to get in shape for the first competitions of the coming 2015-16 winter.

World Cup riders Konstantin Schad, Martin Noerl, Andreas Fischle as well as siblings Luca and Paul Berg who had teamed up with the Italians last week for a first week of racing at Passo Stelvio which hosts one of the earliest decent sbx courses of the Northern hemisphere season every year are now in Hintertux to finalise their preparations.

Currently, the focus is on working on the starts as well as the general technique as Head Coach Gernot Raitmair explains:

“We have some huge start sections at site with kickers on World Cup level. In addition, we will work on GS techniques in very steep terrain.”

When November comes, the team will move from one Tyrolean valley to another to train on the Pitztal glacier where the most international teams will come together for a competition-like training camp before the season will finally kick off.

First events are schedule for end of November (EC Pitztal) with the World Cup opening on the menu in Montafon, Austria mid of December.
