Although the most snowboarders liked the course in Montafon, Austria, there were some, who would like to delete today's training session.

One of today's unlucky fellows was David Speiser.

The German rider who was ranked fifth in the world last season, crashed hard in his second training run and suffered ankle joint fracture in his right shoulder.

The 32-years-old will undergo surgery today in Schruns and thus be forced to a ten to twelve weeks lasting break.

A bitter pill for the German team veteran who thus will miss the most part of the season, including the highlight of this winter, the 10th FIS Snowboard World Championships.
