Gjermund Braaten took over the scene by storm over the past years.
Born as the oldest brother of three, the 1990 born started his snowboard career in his backyard. He got a snowboard for Christmas and ever since went to the local resorts one to two times a week.
In addition, he took advantage from the possibilities the NTG Geilo school, which he attended, offered.
This sport school allows young kids to follow their passion, to travel and snowboard a lot; a fact which definitely played a major role for developing a unique and smooth style which is best on slopestyle courses.
No matter which feature he hits, Gjermund has the ability to make the hardest tricks look easy.
In 2008, the Nike 6.0 team rider, who is also into skateboarding and soccer, launched his career in Saas-Fee. Gjermund did so well that his impressed coach called Norway's Burton team manager Christian Thoresen who immediately hooked him up.
Ever since, this young kid showed his talents at several World Cups placing several times on the podium so far.
