The Park City native, who ditched the skis at age of five, has been on snow for as long as he can remember and now spends most of his time beating out the competition on slopestyle courses around the globe.

The winter of 2010 was truly a breakout season for Kotsenburg, who won a Dew Cup, took fifth at X Games Aspen and notched a silver medal at X Games Europe.

In the following years, he kept the momentum placing on several podiums in high-class contests.

In the lead-up to the 2014Olympics the rider known for his unique and innovative style started to compete on the World Cup tour too successfully making the US Olympic team.

At Sochi, Russia, he was standing out for style over robotic spins and nailed it at the Rosa Khutor Park by grabbing Gold – his career's biggest success.
