Cai and Nedefuji lead strong field in Universiade halfpipe event
Cai earned her career's second Universiade gold since 2011 with 82.50 cementing her home countries dominance at the student games.
It's been the fourth consecutive win for a Chinese girl since the inaugural Universiade took place in Innsbruck and Seefeld back in 2005.
Queralt Castellet (SPA) took silver and the first medal for her home country with 72.25 while Carla Somaina (SUI) brought home bronze (67.75).
In the men's competition, Nedefuji became the third ever Japanese to win the event with 91.50 edging off Zachary Black (USA) to second with the tiny advantage of 1.00 point.
Broc Waring (USA, 85.50) rounded out the podium as third.
