Clemens Schattschneider Austrian Big Air Champ
Pre-event favourite Clemens Schattschneider has clinched the Austrian Big Air Nationals which took place as part of “Haus Moasters 5” on the Planai in Schladming, Austria.
The rider from Lower Austria triumphed with his well-executed backside double cork 1080 (92.67).
“This jump is part of my safe tricks. I stomped it quite nicely and luckily it was good enough for the first place. It's nice to end my season with a win,” said the former Big Air World Cup title winner (2011).
It was his second big air title since Sillian 2009 and his fourth in total after having also triumphed in 2010 in the halfpipe and slopestyle competition.
Tyrolean Roland Hörtnagl (backside double cork 1080, 90.00) and Salzburg side resident Mathias Weissenbacher (87.33) rounded out the podium as second and third respectively.
