Bastiaansen, no stranger to the European Continental Cup series, brought down a fs 180 on to switch fs blunt 270 out on the double kinked, cab 180 on to bs 360 out over the flat rail before wrapping up his jibbing section with a fs 270 on to 450 out.

He then added a cab 900 to fs 900 melon on the two-jump line built right next to the rails on the 260 metres long indoor slope.

The 2015 junior world champion therefore relegated his teammate Niek van der Velden and Finnish ripper Rene Rinnekangas to the respective second and third rank taking his career's first at Landgraaf after finishing the Europa Cup in the 'fridge' on the podium four times before (3x third, 1x second).

“It was a good competition,” he said. “The Europa Cup here always feel a bit like ‘home’, and it is great to see so many Dutch riders do well. I’m happy that I brought home this result.”

On the women's side of things, Barnhoorn secured her career's third with a fs 270 on on the down tube, a fs boardslide on the flat rail and a fs blunt 270 out on the down rail before stomping a cab 540 indy to bs 360 mute.

Lucie Silvestre (FRA) and Nadja Flemming (GER) rounded out the podium as second and third, respectively.
