The German halfpipe nationals took place last Saturday at Kuehtai, Austria with the main favourites earning the glory in the resort's K-Pipe.

14-year-old Leilani Ettel cllimed her career's first title finishing the open contest as second behind of Ramona Petrig (SUI) with a frontside air to backside air, frontside stailfish, backside indy, frontside 360 and a cab 360 coming out first of the German ranking.

Conny Bleicher and Katharina Kasper rounded out the NC podium as second and third respectively.

In the men's contest, Hoepfl stood out winning the contest with his backside air to frontside 1080, cab 720, backside 900 and a frontside 540 to finish things off.

André Höflich took silver with young gun Christoph Lechner claiming bronze in the nationals.
