French Ski Federation officially launched its winter

Just a few days ago, on Thursday October 8, the French Ski Federation officially launched its winter by presenting the national ski and snowboard teams in Paris.

More than 400 guests as well as more than 120 media representatives were at site following the invitation of Michel Vion, president of the FFS.

While technical director Fabien Saguez outlined the goal of a total of 100 French World Cup podiums though out the whole winter as well as 15 World Championship medals (alpine, biathlon, snowboard, freestyle, cross country, nordic combined and ski jumping), also the French national snowboard team got presented, which is asked to help reaching this ambitious goals.

Besides Olympic SBX Silver medalist Deborah Anthonioz, who wasn't abel to attend the presentation, her snowboard cross team mates Nelly Moenne Loccoz as well as Chloe Trespeuch, who managed to promote from last year's B-rooster, Paul-Henri De le Rue, Pierre Vaultier as well as Tony Ramoin, who earned Bronze at Vancouver 2010, were at site.

The total of six snowboard cross riders are joined by the sole freestyle snowboarder of the national team Sophie Rodriguez who had an incredible start to the 2013 season coming out second at the high-class halfpipe competition held in Cardrona (NZL) end of last August.
