Swiss snowboarder Isabel Derungs has suffered serious injuries while attending the national team's trainings camp in Saas-Fee.

However, not by over shooting a trick or cutting the wrong edge in her run. The 27-year-old slopestyle ace got injured during a lift ride.

While Derungs was going back up to the top of the slope a skier using the t-bar right in front of her fell, slipped downwards the icy lane and crashed badly into the reigning national champion.

The 2014 Olympian (rank 8 in the slopestyle comp) not only broke her left shinbone and fibular but also two ribs.

Derungs who was immediately brought to the hospital in Visp has already underwent surgery and will be sidelined from training and any kind of contests for several weeks now.
