Great events are often foreshadowed. So is the second stop of the FIS Freestyle Snowboarding World Cup tour this season.

Once again, a slopestyle and a halfpipe event will be staged at the hostory's first ever co-sanctioned event with FIS points and points for the WSPL awarded to all competing athletes this up-coming winter again.

So far, more than 100 athletes have already registered.

Leading from the front is the hosting nation of the US of A. While Jamie Anderson, Ty Walker as well as Chas Guldemond, Eric Beauchemin, Sage Kotsenburg and Eric Willet are ready for another shot in the slopestyle, the 2010 Olympic Halfpipe Gold medalists will also drop in the pipe.

Kelly Clark and Shaun White have already confirmed their entry and so have Hannah Teter, Gretchen Bleiler, Elena Hight, Arielle Gold as well as Scotty Lago and Louie Vito – just to name a few of the strong and deep roster.

In addition, some other countries have filed in their competitor lists too.

Besides the strong halfpipe team of Japan featuring the likes of rising star Ayumu Hirano and Ryo Aono the event is also for the Brits (with Jenny Jones, Billy Morgan, Jamie Nicholls and many more) a turn-up for the books.

The Russian national team together with team Chile, Argentina and the Austrian slopestyle team have also announced to travel to Colorado.

The Copper Mt. World Cup is the second out of five stops around the world and scheduled for Dec 18 thru 22.

Both competitions, halfpipe and slopestyle, count as Olympic qualifier events.
